Your day-to-day

Care Practitioners will work closely with all users of our services and their families, friends, and carers. CPs are expected to be kind and responsive, but professional and informative and contribute to the quality of the service provided by keeping service users as safe as possible through sound care skills and effective risk assessment, ensuring the best possible outcomes for people at home and ensuring people have a positive experience of care.

Care Practitioners will deliver care and support to service users, including personal and intimate care, support individuals to wash, dress, prepare meals, manage their medicines, and live a healthy and happy life by enabling service users to maximise their independence and confidence at home whilst guided by standard operating procedures and protocols.

You should apply if:

• You're passionate about supporting others, selflessly ensuring people are kept safe, comfortable and engaged.
• You're reliable, trustworthy and are comfortable working independently - adapting to different client needs.
• You have a valid driver’s license and access to a vehicle.
• You hold Functional Skills at Level 2 (Literacy and Numeracy / GCSE grade A – C or equivalent in English and Maths).
• [Desirable] You hold a relevant Level 2 qualification NVQ/QCF certificate of care / apprenticeship or equivalent – or have a willingness to obtain.
• [Desirable] You possess a Care Certificate.

The interview process:

Our interview process involves 3 main stages:

1. Initial contact with the Registered Manager.
2. Formal interview with a panel of two.
3. Informal call with a senior care practitioner within our team to learn more about the role and our work.

All direct care roles are subject to an Enhanced Disclosure to the Disclosure and Barring Service.
